You can do it on-line.  There are just a few pre-requisites: You must renew in the month of your expiration, You must Have your previous registration paper, You need to use a Master or Visa Card, You must have an e-mail account.  Additionally, you must be 18 years of age or older. Most types of passenger vehicle plates are eligible.  You can check the remaining details at the Department of Motor Vehicles Website.
