HISTORY OF RESEARCH ON
GLACIATION IN THE WHITE MOUNTAINS
and The Bartlett Boulder. By Woodrow B. Thompson
Shown below is The Bartlett Experimental Forest which is publicly
accessible from the Bear Notch Road in Bartlett Village. The Bear
Notch Road traverses the mountain from Bartlett Village (at Rte 302) to
the Kancamagus Highway (Rte 112). Its total length is nine miles.
All those other little roads you see winding around are known to us
locals as the Loop Roads.
