Michael P. Clemons

December 10, 1943 - May 29, 2009: Michael P. Clemons, 65, a life long resident of  Jackson, died suddenly at his home in the early morning on May 29, 2009.

Michael was a graduate of Kennett High School, Class of 1962 and proudly served in the United States Army in the Vietnam War. Michael was a  DEDICATED employee of the Town of Jackson s highway department for more than  30 years and was well liked amongst the crew. He was a former member of  Jackson s Fire Department and a member of Francis P. Murphy V.F.W. Post #5386 in Bartlett. Michael had planned to retire on June 30th of this year.

Michael, a quiet man, enjoyed working at his job, hiking, his yard work, and  playing with his two grandchildren. He made it very well known that he loved  his family, the town of which he lived, and a particular view from a porch in Lovell, Me. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Michael is survived by his loving wife Sarah, son Michael from Jackson, daughter Kara van Lingen and her husband Theodore van Lingen from Uxbridge, MA along with his grandchildren, Mackenzie 12, and Austin 9, and his mother, Pat Roberts, from Jackson.

Calling hours will be held at Furber and White Funeral Home in North  Conway on Wednesday June 3, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. Graveside services will be held Thursday June 4, 2009 at 11a.m. at the Jackson Cemetery in Jackson with the Rev. William B. Rose, Jr., officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family humbly requests a donation in Michael Clemons name to the Jackson Fire Department or a charity of your choice.
